Edmund P. Burke
Edmund P. Burke was a Founding Partner of Burke & Handley, P.C. His practice focused on commercial litigation and banking law. Edmund established a successful practice representing various state and national banks.
Prior to entering the private practice of law, Edmund was employed with Chicago Title and Trust and Household Finance. Using that experience, Mr. Burke then formed the law firm of Burke & Burke with his two brothers. He has successfully practiced law in Chicago for over 30 years, concentrating in all areas of banking and commercial litigation.
Edmund obtained his B.A. from St. Mary's College of Minnesota in 1965, earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 1969 and an L.L.M. in Real Estate Law in 2000.
In addition to his practice, Edmund is a standing member of the Chicago, DuPage County, Illinois State and American Bar Associations, as well as a member of various banking, real property and business committees within these associations. He is also a past Chair of the ISBA's Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law Section Council.
